Three Months!

Thatcher is 3 months old today!  I can't believe three months can go by so fast, but I'm sure we will feel the same way with every month.  He is officially out of all newborn clothes, and to our best calculations is about 15 pounds.  His sounds and smiles are the highlights of our days.

Here comes Santa Claus. . .

Look Who's Talking!

Almost everyday while we are at work, Auntie Boo (Sydney) sends us picture or video updates about how Thatcher is doing.  We basically look forward to them all day.  The other day she managed to get this one of Thatcher "talking".  It's pretty obvious, he's brilliant.

Happy Birthday Boley!

This year December 9th was a low key birthday, but no matter what we did to celebrate, nothing would compare to just hanging out at home these days.

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Here is a picture of our actual Thanksgiving day dinner.  It was so fun to have people over to eat lots of food and pie!  But, this year it turned out we celebrated Thanksgiving for the whole week which meant a lot of food and a lot of napping with Thatcher!  Thanks everyone for coming over for Thatcher's first Thanksgiving.

Snuggling with Auntie B!

Uncle Nik is becoming one of Thatcher's favorite cuddler.
Of course, Thatcher is in awe of the varsity jacket too!
Nobody can pull it off like Uncle Nino!
Cousins are so much fun!

Hanging out with friends. . .

Thanks guys for all the Thatcher love!

2 MONTHS OLD!

I can't believe how fast two months have gone!  Thatcher had his 2 month check up at the pediatrician and everything is going well.  He is 12.5 pounds and 23 inches long and is more fun everyday.

My new favorite noises

Boley was trying to get some work done, so Thatcher had to turn on the charm in order to distract him.  (Not that distracting Boley from reading is hard to do!)

I know that this 45 seconds may not be as exciting for everyone else, but Thatcher's little smiles and noises are so fun to us!

Thatcher's first day at school

We took food into St. Ursula to have lunch with our favorite teacher.  We just love her.

We have been lucky to have so many new visitors lately! Thanks everyone for cuddling with Thatcher.

Thatcher has found some new friends!  Renna and George may be bigger than Thatcher now, but I am thinking he will be catching up soon at the rate he is growing!
I have already found the girl for Thatcher to marry. . . Renna is so adorable.
George is going to be showing Thatcher how to crawl around in no time!

Ann Arbor. . . my personal oasis.

While I still have some time off, we have been making our regular trips to Ann Arbor a little more often. Between the football games, dinners, and an official family date day we have logged some serious time introducing Thatcher to our favorite place.

Happy Halloween!

Thatcher's first Halloween. . . what an adorable pumpkin!

Our Latest News is BIG. . . 12 pounds and 6 hours of sleeping at night!

Just when we thought we couldn't love him anymore. . . Thatcher decided to start sleeping for 6 hours through the night!  At 5 weeks old (weighing in at 12 lbs), he loves to eat and sleep.
Here are some pictures from the last week or so.

Eating and sleeping take up most of our time. . .

Everyday it seems Thatcher is a little more awake and alert.  It is so much fun to see him constantly changing.

Thanks Aunt Katie!  This quilt is so great!
I think he loves his monkey!

Bath time is a daily routine.  I love how babies are so content taking baths.

Tuffy Tooth Club

Thatcher officially made the Tuffy Tooth Club, he has no cavities. He did his best to flex his baby guns. For the record he pulled that pose on his own when I put his onesie on, I didn't position him this way for the picture. He's a natural, a pudgey little natural.

1 MONTH OLD!

Our little Thatcher is 1 month old!  I can't believe it!
According to our best calculations,  he is now 10 lbs 6 oz (a 43% weight increase in 30 days)!
It's crazy how fast this last month has gone, but now I can't even imagine my life without him.

Michigan vs Iowa

Iowa fans are just the greatest... except for the fact they always win when we are with them! It was so fun to fill our house up with family and friends again, especially with baby experts and expert baby sitters!  Thanks for all your help!  It was great to see everyone, and we are excited to have Michigan and Iowa in the same division to keep this tradition going.
Ben looks good with Thatcher AND in that Michigan shirt!

Thatcher's First Photo Shoot

One of my friends was brave enough to come and take some pictures of our little Thatcher. As luck would have it, both times she came to take his picture Thatcher decided to be awake. I think he takes after his dad and just hates having his picture taken, but here are some of the highlights. We worked really hard to have this peaceful looking newborn.
